Lake Bera is the larger of the two natural fresh water lakes in Malaysia (the other being Lake Chini). The lake covers an area roughly 31,120 hectares was gazetted as a protected area in 1975 under the RAMSAR declaration for its importance in bio-diversity. The unqiue and beautiful place is filled with a rich array of flora and fauna and is home to a group of Orang Asli called Semelais.
